Sokrates won the International from San Sebastián at 2,050km — one of the longest and hardest races on the European calendar. Her sire PL17-4815 is his son.

"Olympic Maurice" is described on the card as the best Van den Bulck lines to be got — the best speed pigeons in the world. He is a grandson of "Liberaal", and behind him stand Kittel, Olympic Rosita, Sagan, De Goede Rode, Golden Leo and Buzzard.
